The Kia Sportage 2026 has undergone a facelift, introducing a more conventional and robust design with significant changes to the front, such as more vertical headlights and a squarer grille.

The interior now features a 12.3-inch curved display and an optional 10-inch head-up display. Additionally, the model offers wireless integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, onboard Wi-Fi for up to five devices, and the Digital Key function, which allows remote control of the vehicle via a smartphone or smartwatch.

The hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions have received a power boost, with the hybrid Sportage now producing 231 hp and the plug-in hybrid 268 hp. Moreover, hybrid models come with two new trims, the Sportage S and the X-Line Hybrid, offering features like black wheels, LED fog lights, and a panoramic sunroof. For non-hybrid models, the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine retains its 187 hp, while the all-wheel drive now includes a new terrain mode for snow, mud, and sand.

The 2026 Sportage also brings enhancements to driver assistance systems, including automatic emergency braking, pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane-keeping assistance, and steering control during lane changes.

The model will be available in the United States in the second quarter of 2025, with prices expected to see a slight increase over the 2025 models.
